random mailbox we saw on our drive!!??

this is the carriage house that we stayed in. It had 3 bedroom total. We had half the first floor. Our room had a hot tub & fireplace! But we learned we shouldn't put the fire on since it got up to 80' that day and done of the window opened....we roasted!!!

I know these pictures are a little late, but i wanted to quickly share a glimpse into our anniversary weekend. Since it was my year to plan I chose a fun B&B west of us and even though it was only a short drive it felt like a whole another state! We enjoyed the beautiful landscape and solitude. We went out to a restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner at 6 years prior and then came back and relaxed on the deck while we both read some books!! It may not sound super exciting but it was incredible. Through out the time we would stop and read a paragraph to each other and explain why that really stuck us. This would then provoke us to talk about that certain topic and sorta pick each other's brains, if you will....

the next day, after an amazing breakfast that even included chocolate, we headed over to a tourist town by he lake and enjoyed shopping, talking and a lovely walk. Because it started to down pour we slipped into a Caribou Coffee (Yeah!!!!) and had a drink and played Bananagrams for a while until the rain stopped. We had 2 great days to focus on each other and reminisce over 6 incredible years together. It was great!
